Important Notice: FiatRails is currently in pre-production testing phase. The protocol, website, and mobile applications are provided for demonstration, evaluation, and feedback purposes only.

1. About FiatRails

FiatRails ("we", "our", "us") is a decentralised, non-custodial protocol enabling peer-to-peer fiat-crypto exchange. FiatRails does not:

Hold, manage, or control user funds
Provide money transmission or remittance services
Operate as a payment service provider
Issue e-money or operate as a custodian

All fiat transactions occur directly between users and licensed payment providers (e.g., mobile money operators, regulated PSPs, or banks).

2. Pre-Production Status

The current version of FiatRails is for demonstration purposes only:

Transactions may be simulated or operate on test networks
Functionality has not undergone full production hardening
Do not use the protocol to transfer assets of real-world value unless explicitly announced as production-ready

3. Eligibility

You may use FiatRails only if:

You are at least 18 years old
You have legal capacity to enter binding agreements
You are not prohibited by law from accessing DeFi protocols

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for securing your wallet and private keys
You must ensure compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
You acknowledge that all blockchain transactions are irreversible

5. No Custody, No Intermediary Role

FiatRails is software only:

We do not receive, hold, or transmit funds on behalf of any party
We do not act as a counterparty to any transaction
Liquidity is contributed directly by protocol participants

6. Disclaimers

No warranties: FiatRails is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
Risk of loss: Use of blockchain technology carries risks. You use FiatRails at your own risk
Third-party services: Mobile money and payment integrations are outside our control

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FiatRails and its contributors shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of FiatRails.
